We were tasked by Bank Indonesia to create an explainer video about Indonesia’s economy growth during the fiscal year of 2016. This video will serve as a teaser for the actual book (a page turner, it was not) that will be played in front of the audience during the book launch.
As the topic and content is very technical, we took a rather easy-going approach. With simplicity in mind, we design the scenes using visual metaphor to ease the audience in. The colors used are based on the identity of Bank Indonesia: blue and red. To us, they served as a symbol of economic stability and boldness, which overall gave an optimistic touch in the whole work.
